1. NEWS:
a) London Global Carrier Community Meeting (GCCM) on 8th & 9th September 2008 - Carrier Community has successfully organized its two day GCCM in London, UK, at Trinity House. More than 70 delegates from 40 companies worldwide attended the event and once again we received positive feedback from the attending companies: "..Telekom Malaysia was once again delighted to be sponsor. The venue and setting contributed towards two days of negotiations and prospective businesses opportunities..", "..many thanks for organising the event, I enjoyed it a lot and met with the right level of people (Reach Telecom)". Carrier Community is proud to inform you that it was able to donate £600 to the charities Alive and Kicking & Kinderhilfe Afghanistan and we hope we can continue to do so in the future due to your kind support and frequent attendance. b) New Online Recruitment Portal – CC has successfully launched its online recruitment service available to registered members to post jobs at a very low cost to the most selected group of telecom professionals. Companies can post their job vacancies and interested members are able to contact the employers directly. Employers benefit from having exposure to a large group of telecom professionals which to a high degree match the requirements of the available position without paying large sums to recruitment agencies. Members looking for a new career pass will be able to access employment opportunities which fit their background and experience.
c) Online Payment - CC has launched its new encrypted and secure online e-payment system powered by World Pay and Pay Pal for its events’ registration and recruitment portal to improve the speed and convenience of the registration process.

3. Upcoming Events:
Next GCCM – the next GCCM event at Trinity House in the City of London will take place on 10th & 11th March 2009, and it will be a two day function for both Voice & Data members at the same time. The two day event for both segments will be more beneficial for participants from overseas as well as for delegates covering both business areas.
