Chris van Zinnicq Bergmann has over twenty years of experience in the global telecommunications sector. He started his telecommunications career in Amsterdam where he held corporate as well as sales related positions at BT, Unisource (a joint venture between KPN, Telia and Swisscom) and AT&T-Unisource.

In 1999, Chris left Europe to move to Los Angeles, where he became a member of the team that started the operations of Asia Global Crossing, which later evolved into Pacnet, a subsea cable operator in the Asia Pacific region which in 2014 has been acquired by Telstra. In 2002, Chris relocated to Singapore from where he headed the company’s market expansion activities in Southeast Asia and India and from 2005 to 2008 was the regional head for Southeast Asia and India, responsible for the company’s wholesale and enterprise business in this region. At the end of 2008, Chris moved back to Amsterdam to take up the role of regional head for Europe and North America (until the end of 2010) and subsequently for Europe, the Middle East and India. In 2014, Chris joined Global Cloud Xchange and is currently based in Amsterdam as the head of Carrier Sales in Europe.

Franck Simon is President of France-IX Services since its inception in 2010 and brings his extensive industry experience to the management and ongoing development of the non-profit association Internet exchange point.

Prior to France-IX, Franck was the Technical Director of RENATER, the French academic network, where he worked for almost 15 years. As part of his duties at RENATER, Franck held responsibility for the SFINX (Service for French Internet exchange), the first Internet exchange point ever created in France, for more than 10 years.

Franck has in-depth experience in wide area networks (WAN) and of backbones operators as well as being knowledgeable about the strategies and policies for interconnection between operators and the context of peering in France and in Europe. Since 2012, he has also been involved in the AFNIC’s (Association Française pour le Nommage Internet en Coopération) scientific committee and its contribution to the definition of future trends in internet infrastructure.

Nikki is passionate about Africa and feels privileged to have seen and taken part in the technological advances that have occurred over the years. Divya is a technology and business leader with 16+ years of experience in wireless and telecommunications. She has been managing diverse leadership roles in product, strategy and program management. Currently she is leading the product management of Next Generation and Cloud Communication Services. As Head of Innovation she is responsible for Go-To-Market strategy, product life cycle and profitability. She evangelizes new products and solutions to offer innovative solutions to MNOs, MNVOs, and OTT providers.

I’m Director of Global Connectivity at Twilio and have over 14 years experience in the SMS and Voice industry working for technology companies.  During this time I have worked for one of the leading OTT’s in building up its footprint with a large number of telecommunication companies.  I’m currently responsible for for originating, structuring, closing and managing high value contracts with telecom partners at Twilio.

Established in the early 1990s as a not-for-profit organisation, AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) is a neutral and independent Internet Exchange based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Now interconnecting around 800 networks by offering professional IP exchange services, also called peering services. Peering enables these connected networks to offer stable, fast and cost-effective Internet services to their end-users and business customers. Peering is what makes the Internet robust and resilient, a network of networks all linked together.
