Carrier Community (CC) is a global telecom club established since 2008 and organising annual global carrier community meetings in Rio de Janeiro since 2015 for the members. CC is organizing 3rd annual LATAM 2017 GCCM – Rio on 19th & 20th September 2017 at The Hotel Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana . More than 400+ Club Members representing decision-makers from the Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 will meet and network in Rio.

The Carrier Members get together from Voice, Data, SMS, Mobile, VAS, Cable, Satellite, Data Centers and other related segments.

In addition, Carrier Community will organize leisure activities such as an evening welcoming & a closing networking reception evening while enabling networking in a private and relaxed atmosphere.

I’d like to say that my past participation in the GCCM was fruitful, I met with many participants and I did see great value in this event format. The format was just great, because mega events such as the Futurecom are simply too spread in giant exhibition centers with all kinds of companies you’re not really interested about and you just end up walking and walking most of the time (and sweating, it’s Rio!), so a great hotel lobby with most relevant players’ desks properly identified with large characters and the main sponsors on bigger desks conveyed a sense of practicality to the event, like an Italian family gathering. And since everybody is there, you end up passing by people you did not officially arrange a meeting with, but you end up inviting for “a chat in my desk in a few minutes” and by the end of the day you addressed your topics with everybody and what would normally take you a month worth of labor time to do, you get done in a pair of days and eventually meet others you didn’t know because they are there too, opening up more connection doors.
